A Bird-A-Thon is competition to identify as many species of birds as possible in a given amount of time. Participants ask friends, families, and co-workers to sponsor their Bird-A-Thon by donating money per species or at a flat rate.  All funds support the Alaska Songbird Institute’s research and education programs.

Ways to participate:

Donate to support a birder, team or the Bird-A-Thon itself.

Or

Join in one of our four Boreal Bird-A-Thon events.

24 Hour Boreal Bird-A-Thon:
The classic. Bird anytime, anywhere, as a team, or by yourself, in a 24 hour period in May or June.
